Mike is in his rocking chair again but many people look at Pinterest or some magazines to get new ideas for decorating, re purposing furniture, or for planning a wedding décor. What ideas have you seen that you thought were really unique? Are you looking for certain items now for an upcoming project?
I have had customers look for aqua quart jars for candle holders or to make a chandelier, pieces of children’s’ material prints to make books, rhinestone pins for wedding bouquets, old chipped plates or cup and saucers for bird feeders, spoons for rings or wind chimes. This is just a few there has been many more, maybe I should start a journal, if only I had the extra time.
One winter I made 2 sets of day of week kitchen towels, 3 baby quilts, and the fourth was started but summer garden time had slowed that one down. This 4th one will be a combination patchwork and embroidered baby animal pictures and done in blue, green and white colors. I also want to work on a rag rug out of knit shirt material. I finished a few but my project made a tote as one curled into a bag shape.
Hope to hear from all of you soon. I would love to see and share your posts. It is always so enjoyable to hear about other people’s projects. Also does anyone want a get together/class on any topics about antiques or quilting? You can email me firstname.lastname@example.org, or post it on FB CountryLivingAntiques or Gail Lause.
